Jaipur, the “Pink City,” has some incredible historic sites. Here are five must-visit spots:
Amber Fort A stunning hilltop fort built from pale yellow and pink sandstone, with elaborate mirror work inside the Sheesh Mahal. Take an early morning visit to beat the crowds and heat.

Hawa Mahal The iconic ‘Palace of Winds’ with its honeycomb facade of 953 small windows, built so royal women could observe street life unseen. Best photographed from across the street in morning light.Photo from outside Morning light

City Palace Jaipur A sprawling palace complex still partly home to the royal family, blending Rajasthani and Mughal architecture with courtyards, museums, and armories. Allow 2 hours

Jantar Mantar Jaipur A UNESCO World Heritage astronomical observatory built in the 18th century, featuring giant stone instruments that track time, the sun, and celestial positions with remarkable accuracy.

Nahargarh Fort Perched on the Aravalli hills overlooking the city, this fort offers panoramic sunset views and a popular rooftop cafe. Go for sunset.

Amber Fort tops most lists for its scale and mirror-work interiors, but if you only have a couple of days, pair it with Hawa Mahal and City Palace since they’re close together in the old city. Nahargarh Fort is the best add-on for sunset views over Jaipur.
